All of the sculptures presented on this online gallery were carefully hand chosen by art collector Sandy Lieberman. Sandy has visited Africa a dozen times, she has vast knowledge of the contemporary African art scene. She has visited the residential studios in Zimbabwe where some of the most important contemporary sculptors create their stone masterpieces.

Contemporary stone sculptures from Africa are represented in museums around the world including but not limited to the British Museum in London, England, The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris, France, Musee Rodin in Paris, France, and the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.
